How To Apply

Any organisation wishing to make an application for funding should in the first instance contact the secretary asking for an application form. Email to admin@claremonttrust.org.uk  

The completed form should be returned to the Secretary by the last working day of April for screening. Applications meeting the initial screening criteria will then be considered by the Trustees at our annual meeting in May. Successful applicants will be informed thereafter.

As noted elsewhere grants are typically in the region of £500 to £600 and never more than £1,000. Grants are approved only once per year at the Trusts annual meeting held in May. Applications received after the April deadline are unlikely to be considered until the following year. The Trustees may at their discretion consider application received during the year but this will always be subject to there being available funds to disburse and the application having some considerable merit to be taken out with the normal funding cycle.

The application process is not intended to be overly onerous but should contain all the required information. Please note the Trust does not give money to individuals for study, work purposes or travel, nor to large organisations, nor for building work. The Trust is unable to accept any applications from organisations or charitable bodies from outside the UK. We our preference is for charitable organisations working in Scotland or for UK based charities who work overseas.
